Why most podcast clips get 200 views (and how to fix it)
Most podcasters make the same mistakes when clipping their episodes:
1. They pick the "best" moment, not the most shareable one.
The clip that makes you feel smart isn't the same as the clip that makes someone stop scrolling. Look for tension, hot takes, or unexpected honesty — not polished summaries.
2. They don't hook in the first 0.5 seconds.
If your clip starts with "So as I was saying..." it's already dead. The first frame needs movement, emotion, or a question that creates a gap.
3. They use one format for every platform.
A 9:16 vertical clip with burned-in captions works on TikTok. That same clip on YouTube Shorts needs a different pacing. LinkedIn? Totally different energy. One size fits zero platforms.
4. They post once and move on.
Every episode has 5-10 clips in it. Most podcasters pull 1-2. The rest is wasted reach.
We edit clips for podcasters full-time. If any of this sounds familiar, you know where to find us.
