The 3-clip rule that actually gets creators discovered

Ran a clipping agency for a while now and the biggest mistake I see creators make: they clip the wrong moments.

Most people clip the content — the useful advice, the polished take. Wrong move. What actually spreads is the reaction — the 2-3 seconds where the guest's face changes, where the host laughs at their own joke, where someone says something slightly unhinged.

Our rule: every long-form video should produce at least 3 clips that each pass this test — would a stranger with zero context watch the first 3 seconds and NOT scroll? If a clip can't pass that, it doesn't go out, no matter how 'valuable' the info is.

Started Clip Nest to do this at scale for creators who don't have time to sit and find these moments themselves. If you're sitting on hours of long-form content and posting maybe one short a week, you're leaving reach on the table.
