Most people overthink clip farming. They watch 10 YouTube videos about it, buy expensive editing software, and never actually pitch a single creator.
Here's the reality: you can land your first client within 7 days if you follow this exact process.
Step 1: Pick your niche (Day 1)
Don't go after the biggest streamers. Target creators with 10K-100K followers who post long-form but have zero short-form presence. They NEED you. Check Twitch, YouTube, and podcasters.
Step 2: Make 3 free sample clips (Day 2-3)
Download their latest VOD or video. Cut 3 clips that are 30-60 seconds each. Use CapCut — it's free. Add subtitles, zoom-ins on reactions, and a hook in the first 2 seconds. That's it.
Step 3: Send the DM (Day 4)
Don't write an essay. Keep it short:
"Hey [name], huge fan of your content. I made a few short clips from your latest stream — thought you might want to see them. No strings attached."
Then send the clips. No pricing. No pitch. Just value.
Step 4: Close the deal (Day 5-7)
90% of creators who see quality clips will respond. When they ask about working together, quote $300-500/mo for 10-15 clips/week to start. Once you prove ROI (their shorts grow), raise to $1K+.
The math:
2 clients at $500/mo = $1,000/mo
4 clients at $500/mo = $2,000/mo
Scale editing time with templates = 2-3 hours/day
This is exactly what I teach inside Clipfarm Empire. The full playbook, DM templates, editing workflows, and a community of people actually doing this.

Most people overthink this. Clip farming is one of the simplest ways to start making money online, and you don't need any followers to begin.
The model is simple: Take someone's long-form content (streams, podcasts, YouTube videos), chop it into 30-60 second clips with captions and zoom effects, and post them on TikTok/Reels/Shorts.
Why creators pay for this: They know short-form drives growth, but they don't have time to edit. You solve that problem.
How to land your first client:
Find a creator with 10k-100k followers who posts long-form but has weak short-form
Edit 2-3 sample clips from their content (takes 30 min)
DM them: "Hey, I made these clips from your last stream — thought they'd do well on TikTok. Want me to keep doing this?"
Start at $300-500/mo for 15-20 clips
The key is the sample. Don't pitch with words — pitch with proof.
Once you have 2-3 clients at $500/mo, you're at $1,000-1,500/mo working a few hours a day. Scale from there.
