If you don't know what digital product to sell, stop brainstorming
Most people who want to sell a digital product don't have a product problem. They have a decision problem.
They sit there listing 40 ideas. Notion templates. Spreadsheets. Ebooks. Discord groups. None of them feel "right," so they sell nothing.
You don't pick the perfect product. You pick the one you can finish this week.
Use this filter. Answer all three.
What have you already figured out the hard way? A job, a hobby, a mistake you paid for. If you had to explain it to a friend in 10 minutes, that's your topic.
Who is 6 months behind you? Not "everyone." One person. The version of you who still Googles the same question at 1am.
Can they get the result without you on a call? If yes, it's a product. If they need you live, it's a service. Don't mix them.
If you can't answer those in 15 minutes, you don't need more ideas. You need a smaller niche.
Then package it like this, not like a course:
One outcome in the title (what they walk away with)
A checklist or templates they can fill in today
A price they can say yes to without a sales call. $27 is a decision. $297 is a negotiation.
That's it. No funnel. No audience. No branding session.
I built First Product Kit because I kept watching people stall on a blank page. It's fill-in-the-blank templates for the offer, the sales page, the checkout copy, and the launch checklist. Open a file, replace the brackets, publish.
If you're the person who has been "about to start" for months, this is the shortest path I know:
