The #1 reason you're not closing — and it's not your pitch

Most people think closing is about having the right script. It's not.

I've watched hundreds of sales calls. The reps who struggle almost always have the same problem: they don't believe they deserve the sale.

Think about it. When you're on a call and the prospect hesitates, what happens in your head? If the first thought is "maybe I should lower the price" or "they probably can't afford it" — you've already lost.

The close starts before the call. It starts with how you see yourself. If you see yourself as someone who helps people solve real problems, asking for money feels natural. If you see yourself as someone who's taking money, you'll flinch every time.

Three things that shifted my mindset:

1. Reframe the price as the cost of NOT buying. What does it cost your prospect to stay stuck? That's the real number.

2. Stop selling features. Sell the transformation. Nobody cares about "weekly calls." They care about going from $3K months to $10K months.

3. Practice conviction, not scripts. Record yourself pitching. Listen back. Do you sound like you believe it? If not, fix that before anything else.

The mindset work is the sales work. Once you internalize that, everything changes.
