The 3 bedding mistakes every first apartment makes
I've furnished 4 apartments. Every single time I made the same mistakes with bedding until I finally figured it out.
Mistake 1: Buying a "bed in a bag" from a big box store. Those polyester sets feel fine for a week, then pill up and trap heat. You wake up sweating. Throw it out in 3 months.
Mistake 2: Skipping the fitted sheet and just using a flat. I get it — fitted sheets are annoying. But sleeping on a bare mattress pad is worse. Get one that actually fits your mattress depth (most people buy too shallow).
Mistake 3: Only buying 2 pillows. You need at least 2 for sleeping and 2 for propping up when you're watching something in bed. 4 pillows is the sweet spot.
We built CloudRest to solve all of this in one box. Premium comforter, properly-sized sheets, and 2 plush pillows — everything you need, nothing you don't.
Your first apartment deserves real bedding.
