Why Most PTs Leave Money on the Table (And How to Fix It)

If you're a personal trainer with even a modest following, you're probably sitting on untapped revenue.

Here's the pattern I see over and over:

  1. PT builds a following doing great content

  2. PT monetizes with 1-on-1 coaching or generic ebooks

  3. PT hits a ceiling because time = money and there are only so many hours

The fix isn't "make a course." Courses take months to build, require constant updates, and most PTs abandon them halfway through.

The real move? A managed community + structured program.

Why it works:

  • Recurring revenue (members pay monthly)

  • Your audience gets ongoing access to your methods, not a one-off PDF

  • You don't have to build or manage the tech — someone else handles that

  • The community itself becomes valuable (members help each other, accountability, culture)

I've been building and managing these products for PTs for a while now. The ones who commit to it typically see an additional revenue stream within the first month of launch.

The audience is already there. The expertise is already there. The missing piece is the product infrastructure.

If you're a trainer doing 10K+ followers and you haven't launched a community product yet, you're genuinely leaving money on the table.

Happy to break down the model for anyone interested.
