Core Bluetooth Production Kit
A production-ready Core Bluetooth foundation for Swift apps.
You got the prototype working. This is the version you ship.
The Production Kit sits on top of the free Core Bluetooth Starter Kit. It uses the same
declarative BLEConfig, so the services, characteristics, UUIDs, and roles you already wrote
carry over unchanged. Moving up is a small port, not a rewrite: swap BLEManager for BLEClient,
add a reconnection policy, adapt your view model.
What it adds, all in Swift 6 with strict concurrency:
BLEClient: an actor-correct client with a reconnect state machine (exponential backoff,
max attempts, cancellation).
BLECommandQueue: serialized writes with timeout and retry. Every write returns a result.
BLECodec: a typed encode/decode layer, so byte handling lives in one place.
Background mode and Core Bluetooth state restoration.
BLEDeviceRegistry for multi-device apps.
Standard-service helpers (Battery 0x180F, Device Info 0x180A) and RSSI polling.
BLELogger: structured logging you can filter in production builds.
MockBLEClient and a 39-test suite, so you can test your BLE layer without hardware.
ProductionBLEKitUI: connection badge, RSSI indicator, device row.
It ships as a Swift package with the ESP32 firmware, the architecture diagrams, a migration
guide from the free kit, and a 14-page PDF. MIT licensed, so it's fine for commercial apps.
Founding price $99 for the first 25 buyers. $129 after.
