Most people are using AI like a faster intern. That is why their writing still sounds junior.

Senior people do not send more words. They send a decision.

Here is the loop I run every workday. Fifteen minutes. Phone in another room.

1. Do not ask for a plan first.

Paste this:

You are my career coach. I am a [role] at [company]. This week I need to [one outcome]. Interview me with 5 sharp questions before you advise me.

Answer the questions. Short bullets. If you skip this, the output will be generic and you will sound like everyone else.

2. Demand one artifact, not advice.

Then:

Turn this into one thing I can send today. Keep my voice. Cut fluff. Flag anything that would make a director roll their eyes.

An email. A 1:1 update. A review bullet. Something that leaves your laptop.

3. Run the senior test.

What would a skeptical VP object to? Pre-empt that in one sentence.

If your draft cannot survive that sentence, you are not ready to send it.

Do this for five workdays. You will have five shipped artifacts and a much clearer story for your manager.
