The 5 mods every Euro build needs (in order)

Been building Euros for over a decade. Here's the mod order I tell everyone — whether it's a BMW, Audi, VW, or Mercedes.

1. Intake — Not for the power (gains are marginal on stock turbo), but for the sound. That turbo spool on a cold air intake is what gets you addicted to this hobby. Budget ~$300-400.

2. Downpipe — This is where you actually unlock power. A catted or catless downpipe removes the most restrictive part of your exhaust. On most EA888 and N54/N55 platforms, expect 30-50whp from a downpipe + tune alone.

3. Tune — You need a tune to take advantage of the downpipe. Stage 2 on most Euro platforms is the sweet spot — big power, still daily-drivable. This is the single best bang-for-buck mod.

4. Intercooler — Once you're pushing more boost, your stock intercooler becomes a heat soak machine. A front-mount intercooler keeps intake temps consistent, especially in the summer or on track days.

5. Coilovers — Drop it, dial in the handling, and make it look right. Adjustable damping is worth the extra money. Your car should handle as good as it looks.

Skip the cosmetics until your car actually performs. Function first, looks second.

We carry all of these for every major Euro platform. Check the shop.
