5 formats blowing up on TikTok right now (and how to steal them)
Been studying what's popping off in comedy content this month. Here's what's actually working for small creators:
1. "Explaining something normal like it's a conspiracy" — pick any everyday thing (why ice cream trucks play that song, why hotel checkout is at 11am) and explain it like you're unraveling a government secret. Low effort, high engagement.
2. Fake documentary narration over mundane life — film yourself doing dishes, walking your dog, going to class. Add a David Attenborough-style voiceover. The contrast IS the comedy.
3. "POV: you're the [object]" — flip the perspective. POV: you're the fridge at 3am. POV: you're the aux cord on a road trip. People eat this up.
4. Duet bait with a twist — make a video that looks like it's going one direction, then completely switch. The algorithm pushes duets hard right now.
5. The slow realization edit — start a normal vlog-style clip, then gradually add more absurd details in the background. Text overlays help sell the punchline.
Pick ONE. Film it today. Post it tonight. Don't overthink — the algorithm rewards volume over perfection when you're starting out.
