Licensing Policy
Afra Content Licensing Policy
Ownership
Creators retain full ownership of their original content. By submitting to Afra Content, creators grant Afra Content a license to sublicense their approved content to subscribing brands for commercial use.
What Brands Get
When a brand downloads content through an active subscription, they receive a commercial license to use that content in marketing and advertising, including:
Social media posts and organic content (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, etc.)
Websites and email marketing
Paid advertising / boosted posts (Enterprise plan — Extended License only)
License Tiers
Standard License (Starter & Professional plans): Use in organic marketing and owned channels. Does not cover paid media/ad spend placement.
Extended License (Enterprise plan): Includes all Standard License rights plus use in paid advertising campaigns and ad spend placements.
Duration
Licenses granted on download remain valid for the brand's continued commercial use, even if the content is later rotated out of the active marketplace library (per the 30-Day Marketplace Rotation policy). Brands do not lose rights to content they've already downloaded and licensed.
Restrictions
Brands may not resell, redistribute, or relicense downloaded content to third parties.
Brands may not claim exclusive ownership of licensed content.
Content may not be used in a way that violates Afra Content's brand-safety standards (e.g., no adult, illegal, or misleading use).
Exclusivity
Content submitted to Afra Content must be exclusive to Afra Content at the time of submission. Creators are free to use their own content elsewhere after submission, but may not have published it publicly prior to submitting.
Disputes
Any licensing disputes between brands and creators should be directed to the Afra Content team for resolution.
