The AI repurposing framework I use to turn 1 video into 10 posts

Filming isn't the bottleneck for most solo creators — running out of ideas is. Here's the framework I use to squeeze 7-10 pieces of content out of a single video:

  1. Film one anchor piece (whatever your main long-form format is)

  2. Extract hooks — pull every strong opening line from the transcript, even buried mid-video

  3. Extract quotes — pull standalone lines that work as captions or text posts

  4. Extract story beats — find the narrative arc for a "part 2" cut

  5. Map each extracted piece to a format: short clips, carousel slides, a newsletter blurb, a community question

One 10-minute video becomes a week of content instead of one post. The extraction step is where AI actually earns its keep — it's tedious to do by hand but takes seconds with the right prompt.

How I plan a week of content in 15 minutes (free system inside)

Most creators spend more time deciding what to post than actually posting. I fixed that with one simple constraint: I only ever ideate on Sundays, and I use one prompt to do it.

The prompt: "I create content about [NICHE] for [AUDIENCE]. Give me 7 video ideas for this week, each tied to a different content pillar: educational, personal story, hot take, tutorial, behind-the-scenes, trend/news reaction, community question."

That's it. 7 ideas, mapped to pillars so you're not repeating yourself, in about 5 minutes. The rest of the week you're just executing off the list instead of freestyling under deadline pressure.

If you want the full planning system (calendar template + 20+ prompts for scripting/repurposing), I packaged what I use daily — free starter version has 5 prompts to try this out yourself.

The repurposing workflow that gets me 7 posts out of 1 video

I post daily across YouTube and TikTok, and for a long time the bottleneck was never filming — it was planning. Staring at a blank calendar trying to figure out "what do I say today" burns more time than the actual content.

Here's the workflow I use now, and it's the core of what I built ContentForge AI around:

1. Film one anchor piece (a longer video, a rant, a tutorial — whatever your main format is).

2. Run it through 3 extraction passes, each with a different prompt:

  • Hook extraction — pull every strong opening line, even ones buried mid-video

  • Quote/insight extraction — pull standalone statements that work as captions or tweet-length posts

  • Story beat extraction — pull the narrative arc for a "part 2" or behind-the-scenes cut

3. Map extracted pieces to formats: 3 short clips, 2 carousel posts, 1 newsletter blurb, 1 community post asking a question tied to the topic.

One video → 7-10 pieces of content, and the planning time drops from an hour to about 10 minutes because you're not writing from scratch, you're extracting and reformatting.

If you're a solo creator drowning in "what do I post today," this is the highest-leverage system change you can make. Happy to share the actual prompts I use for each extraction pass if people want them.
