Stop taking full SAT practice tests every weekend
If your score has been stuck for a month, the problem is usually not “not enough tests.”
A full Saturday SAT feels productive. It is mostly fatigue plus a score that does not tell you what to fix.
Here is the split that actually moves a section:
After every section, tag each miss
Content — you did not know the rule.
Process — you knew it, rushed, or misread.
Trap — you picked the answer the test writer planted.
If more than half your misses are Process or Trap, more videos will not help. You need a slower first pass and a written reason before you bubble.
What to do this week instead of another full test
Mon/Wed/Fri: one timed section, 45 minutes, phone in another room.
Tue/Thu: error log only. Rewrite each miss as: what I thought → what it asked → the rule I use next time.
Saturday: one section, graded the same day. Not four hours of all four.
Pick one section for the next 30 days. A +60 on Math beats a +10 everywhere.
If you want this coached live every week — error log, section target, homework that does not slip — that is what we built Tutorly for.
