Most CPA candidates study alone with a review course and a countdown timer. The pass rate reflects it.

Here's the pattern I keep seeing: someone buys Becker or UWorld, watches the lectures, does the MCQs in isolation, and burns out around week 5 because there's no external accountability — just a shrinking calendar.

The fix isn't "more content." It's structure around the content you already have:

• A weekly cadence with assigned roles (someone facilitates, someone scribes the tricky topics, someone checks in on your MCQ percentage) turns passive review into active retrieval.

• Case studies instead of isolated MCQs force you to apply multiple concepts at once — which is exactly what the exam's task-based simulations test.

• A small group of 4-6 people, not a huge Discord, keeps accountability real. If you don't show up, someone notices.

If you're studying alone right now, the cheapest fix is finding (or starting) a 4-6 person group with a fixed weekly meeting time and rotating roles. It costs nothing and it's the single biggest lever most candidates never pull.
