If your brand deals live in DMs, you are already leaking money
Most creators I know can tell you what they posted last week. Fewer can tell you, without scrolling, which brand still owes them and what they promised to deliver.
The deal is not the problem. The desk is.
A typical week looks like this:
Rate quoted in Instagram DMs
Usage window in a Google Doc
Invoice in another tab
Posting date in Notes
Follow-up never sent because nothing was staring at you
None of that is laziness. It is what happens when the business is scattered across tools that were not built to hold a deal.
What actually needs to sit in one place:
Stage — inbound, pitched, signed, delivered, paid, or dead
Deliverable — what you owe and when
Money — amount, sent or not, follow-up date
Rate — what you charge so the next pitch is not a guess
If you cannot open one screen and answer those four, you do not have an operations problem. You have a memory problem, and memory does not scale past a handful of brands.
I built Creator DealDesk as a local HTML file for that reason. No login. No cloud. Open the file, run the desk, export a JSON copy when you want one. It will not collect the invoice for you. It will stop you from forgetting the invoice exists.
If you already have a system that holds stage, deliverable, money, and rate in one view, keep it. If you do not, that is the whole job.
