Most "get to $1k/month with content" advice skips the actual math, so here it is.

If you're faceless and posting on TikTok/YouTube Shorts/IG Reels, there are really only 3 income levers:

1. Platform payouts (RPM-based) — usually the weakest lever under 50k followers. Don't build your plan around this.

2. Affiliate/UGC deals — this is where most 0-10k creators actually get their first real dollars. One good affiliate placement in a niche with buying intent can outearn 10 viral posts with no CTA.

3. Your own small offer — even a $9-19 digital product/template sold to your own audience converts far better than people expect once you have even 1-2k engaged followers.

The mistake I see constantly: creators chase followers as the metric, when the real metric is buying-intent followers in one specific niche. 3,000 followers who all care about one problem will out-earn 30,000 followers who found you from a random viral clip.

If you're stuck at 0 revenue right now, the fastest unlock is usually picking ONE niche with obvious buying intent (personal finance, fitness, productivity tools, etc.) and building your first affiliate or micro-offer around it — before you worry about growing the follower count at all.
