3 Things Most Crypto Traders Get Wrong (And How to Fix Them)
After years of trading crypto, I keep seeing the same mistakes over and over. Here's what I wish someone told me when I started:
1. Trading every pump
Not every green candle is an opportunity. The best trades come from patience — waiting for your setup, not chasing FOMO. If you didn't have a plan before the candle, you're already late.
2. Ignoring on-chain data
Price charts only tell you part of the story. Whale wallets moving, exchange inflows/outflows, developer activity — this is where the real alpha is. Most retail traders never look at this.
3. No risk management
Position sizing > your entry price. It doesn't matter if your analysis is perfect if you're risking 50% of your portfolio on a single trade. I never risk more than 2-5% on any single position.
I built The Crypto Desk to share the analysis framework I actually use — project deep dives, buy/sell signals, and the on-chain data that matters. If you want to stop guessing and start trading with an edge, come check it out.
