5 Things Most People Get Wrong About Custom 3D Printing
Been running 3D printers for a while now, and these are the most common misconceptions I see:
1. "3D printing is only for prototypes"
Not even close. We print finished products — phone stands, custom brackets, cosplay armor, replacement parts, you name it. If it can be modeled, it can be printed.
2. "I need to know CAD to get something printed"
Nope. Just describe what you want — dimensions, purpose, material preference — and we'll handle the design. Most of our customers have zero 3D modeling experience.
3. "It's all flimsy plastic"
PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU — each material has different strengths. PETG is heat-resistant. TPU is flexible. We pick the right material for your use case.
4. "It takes forever"
Small to medium prints take 2-8 hours. Most orders ship within a few days of confirmation. Not weeks.
5. "It's expensive"
Our base price starts at $25. Simple prints can be surprisingly affordable. Complex multi-part builds cost more, but we always quote before printing.
