Most "hacking tutorials" online are sanitized to the point of being useless. Here's what they skip:

1. Real reconnaissance techniques. Not just nmap scans — actual OSINT workflows that map a target's entire digital footprint before you even touch a terminal.

2. Post-exploitation persistence. Getting in is step one. Maintaining access without detection is where the real skill is. Mainstream platforms won't cover this because it "looks too real."

3. Social engineering beyond phishing. Pretexting, baiting, tailgating — the human element is still the biggest attack vector and barely anyone teaches it properly.

4. Writing custom payloads. Metasploit is cool. Writing your own tools is how you actually become dangerous (in a legal, ethical way).

5. How to actually get hired. Certifications matter less than you think. Bug bounty portfolios, CTF placements, and proof of skill beat a CompTIA cert every time.
