Why busy professionals get the worst fitness advice

Every fitness influencer tells you to wake up at 5am, spend 90 minutes at the gym, and meal prep 20 containers on Sunday.

That works great if you're 22 with no real job.

For the rest of us — people with careers, back-to-back meetings, and travel schedules — it's a fast track to quitting by week 3.

Here's what actually works:

1. Frequency beats session length

Three 25-minute sessions done consistently > two 90-minute sessions you skip. Your schedule is unpredictable — your program needs to account for that.

2. Equipment is a liability

The moment your hotel gym doesn't have "your machine," you have an excuse to skip. Bodyweight training travels with you. No barriers.

3. Accountability > motivation

Motivation is a feeling. It comes and goes. What doesn't change is having someone who notices when you disappear and pulls you back. That's the actual driver.

I've spent years coaching busy professionals to get fit without gyms. This is what moves the needle.
