The #1 reason people quit fitness programs (it's not laziness)
Here's something nobody talks about: the average person has tried 3-4 fitness programs before finding something that works long-term.
The problem isn't motivation. It's that most programs are designed to sell — not to stick.
They give you a 6-day workout split when you can barely manage 3. They give you a 1,800 calorie meal plan when you don't even know how to cook chicken properly. They demand perfection from day one.
What actually works:
One habit at a time. People who focus on building one habit before adding the next are significantly more likely to maintain it long-term.
The 3-day rule. Three well-executed workouts per week beats six half-hearted ones. Consistency × time > intensity × burnout.
Identity > willpower. "I'm someone who takes care of my body" is more powerful than any meal plan. Willpower runs out. Identity doesn't.
Never miss twice. Missing one day is an accident. Missing two is the start of a new (bad) habit. Get back on track the next day — not the next Monday.
I built The Healthy Habits Playbook around these principles. 12-week system, 5 chapters, zero fluff. If you've tried before and quit, this was built for you.
