How I actually bought an M4 Competition at 17 (bought in full, not financed)
Everyone in my comments assumes I financed or leased the car. I didn't — I bought it in full. The only catch was I needed a co-sign because of my age, not because of the money.
The real story starts way before the car. Around age 13, my dad said something that stuck with me: "A broke 45-year-old starts at 22." That one line changed how I looked at every dollar I got. Birthday money, holiday money, all of it — I banked it instead of spending it.
During COVID lockdown, around 13 years old, I started researching AI and tech companies and learning investing fundamentals. That research turned into actual investing, and the growth from those early decisions eventually extended into property and other investments.
By 17, buying the M4 wasn't some huge leap — it was just the next thing the money could finally do.
I'm putting together a guide that covers the actual saving timeline, my investing approach, and advice for a 12-year-old starting from zero knowledge, as well as building a system for 1-on-1 calls so I can personally help you reach your goals and so much more. I'm also documenting the build as it happens and building a space here for real money/mindset conversations.
If you're young and people keep telling you it's impossible — it's not. It just takes simple knowledge and consistency.
