Why I stopped paying full price for fast food (and started tracking every deal)
Quick story: last year I noticed I was spending close to $400/month just on fast food and quick grocery runs — mostly out of laziness, not actual need. I started keeping a running note of every app-exclusive deal, BOGO promo, and cashback stack I could find. Within two months I cut that spend almost in half.
The hard part wasn't finding deals — it's that they're scattered across a dozen apps, subreddits, and store flyers, and most expire before you even see them. Fast food chains especially rotate secret menu promos and app-only codes constantly, and grocery cashback stacking (think Ibotta + store loyalty + manufacturer coupon) only works if you know the order to apply things in.
So I started centralizing it: one feed, updated daily, with the deal, the expiration, and exactly how to stack it. That turned into Deal Drops — a members-only feed + chat where we track fast food deals, grocery coupons, cashback offers, and freebies as they drop, plus a community to trade tips with people doing the same thing.
If you're already doing this manually with screenshots and reminders, happy to compare notes on what's working for you.
