1. Ignore the yellow tags. Look for the ones that don't scan right.

Stores like Walmart and Home Depot mark stuff down internally before the shelf tag updates. The shelf says $24.99, the register rings $6.13. That gap is where the money is. You only find it by scanning, not by eyeballing.

2. End caps lie. Endpoints of aisles rotate on clearance cycles — usually Wed/Thu resets. If you're not there within 48 hours of reset, someone else already cleared the good stuff.

3. SKU pattern-matching beats luck. Once you know a SKU pattern is marked down at one store, the same SKU is very likely marked down at other locations in the chain before the system catches up. That's the actual leverage — not walking every aisle hoping.
