President Trump is speaking at 7pm EST

SPY - 768.15 needs break and hold for an upside move to fill the gap at 769 and 770 area. Buyers need to regain control here. If 764.24 fails, there is a gap from yesterday at 762.65 to be filled.

QQQ - As long as 714.94 holds, I would like to see buyers maintain price and try to revisit 718. 719.70 area. If 714.94 fails and 713.35 fails, then QQQ will most likely fill the gap at 710.95

Other names

TSLA - 351.86 is the level TSLA has to hold for a chance to revisit 356 and 360, TSLA is still recovering from the earnings gap down, so some sellers might be present as it tries to fill the gap at 374.05

Today is Friday and OPEX. Wait to see if the market is truly showing strength

Unemployment Claims was released at 8:30am.

SPY - SPY broke down overnight and is failed 766 support. SPY also found buyers at 764 support this morning. Now previous day's low is important to watch as long as price does not reclaim it, sellers are still fully in control. Buyers will need to reclaim previous day's low and yesterday's high. If 764 fails, there is room down to 760.62

QQQ - If QQQ stays below the previous day's range, there is room down to 708 area. There is also a gap to be filled at 700. Even if SPY moves higher into 716 and 718.66 area, sellers could still step up and push price lower.

Other names

AAPL above PDH. This name has ran two day's in a row, be mindful because it might need a break today.

Most names are close to previous day's low, so I will be watching to see which one continues to show weakness or which name shows strength.

Daily Watchlist: August 19, 2026

FOMC meeting minutes will be released at 2pm EST today.

SPY - We are outside yesterday's range as I write this. If SPY continues to show strength and holds above 770, there is a gap to be filled at 772.68 and there is resistance at 773.86. 773.86 level is a big level that buyers need to regain control for the uptrend to continue higher. If SPY ends up failing and coming back below 769.52, there is room down to 767.41.

QQQ - Still inside yesterday's range. If QQQ reclaims 722.13, there is room to 722.94, 724 and 725.15. Sellers could step up and push price lower at 725.15 if buyers do not reclaim that level. I am not interested in trading inside the 722 and 715 range on QQQ.

Other names

AAPL - 311.49 is the level to watch for AAPL to fill the gap at 313, and if 313 holds 313.91 is possible and maybe 316 depending on strength.

Most names look neutral on higher time frames. Let's see what happens. Will wait to see which name is showing strength or weakness

No economic reports, but seeing headlines regarding long term interest rates and its negative impact on equities/stocks.

SPY - Showing weakness. If SPY stays below 772.68, sellers will remain in control. If SPY comes up to revisit 772.68, sellers could try to push price lower. If SPY continues to show weakness and fails 767.46, there is room down to 764 and 760.

QQQ - 729.85 is the level I would like to see reclaim for upside trades. QQQ has a gap to fill at 718.33, if it fails, 716 most likely comes next and 714.57 to fill the gap.

Other names

AAPL - Watching 309.97 for upside trades.

Waiting for the first 5-15mins to see which name is showing strength or weakness. Not going to chase downside trades need to see clear weakness first

Expect more US/Iran Updates today.

SPY - Need to break and hold above 779.37 for a chance to move higher into new all-time highs. If SPY fails 774, there is a gap to be filled at 772.52. If 772.52 fails 770 most likely comes next. Not really interested in trading this range on SPY.

QQQ - 734.39 needs to hold for price to fill the gap at 735.76 and 737.62. If QQQ fails 728.57 there is room down to 722.94

Other names

NVDA - 227.49 Is the level to watch for moves into 228.68 and above. The levels from the outlook are still valid.
