August 5, 2026,
Today the market was brutally slow, making it tough to maintain discipline and avoid trading out of boredom. But we held the line, kept our focus, and didn’t take a single trade until the right setup appeared.
Right at 8 AM, YXT—a Chinese symbol with no news—started to squeeze. I stepped up to the plate with 3,000 shares, spotted my A+ setup, and caught a phenomenal bull flag opportunity. That play delivered a nearly $2,000 winner, setting us up with a fantastic profit right out of the gate.
Trading is a journey of management, though. Later on, I reduced my size and took some smaller losses, giving back a good chunk of that win on YXT. Then, INLF—another Chinese company with no news—started to accelerate upward. I stepped up again and was able to lock in nearly $1,000, pushing us right back up toward our highs.
I am so grateful to finish today green, closing up $2,152.35—just a little bit off our all-time daily highs. More than anything, I am grateful that I didn't let FOMO win, didn't lower my quality threshold, and simply said no to the rest so I could focus only on the best. By looking for momentum and volatility, capitalizing on micro pullbacks, respecting support and resistance levels, and executing that phenomenal bull flag, we made it work.
Stay practicing, build up your instincts, and most importantly, build up your muscle of discipline. I'm looking forward to getting back at it with all of you first thing tomorrow morning.
