Why most streetwear brands are doing it wrong
Every other brand is slapping oversized logos on Gildan blanks and calling it "premium." Meanwhile you're paying $60 for a shirt that shrinks after one wash.
Here's what actually makes a good tee:
1. Weight matters. Anything under 200 GSM is basically a napkin. We use heavyweight cotton that holds its shape wash after wash.
2. The fit IS the design. When the cut is right, you don't need a massive graphic to make it work. An oversized silhouette with dropped shoulders hits different from a boxy XL.
3. Less colorways, better execution. We'd rather perfect 3 colors than release 12 mediocre ones.
That's the philosophy behind derk. If you get it, you get it.
