3 Design Mistakes Killing Your E-Commerce Conversions
I've designed for dozens of e-commerce brands, and the same mistakes keep showing up. Here's what's quietly costing you sales:
1. Low-contrast product photos on white backgrounds
Your product looks clean, but it disappears in a crowded feed. Add a subtle shadow, a lifestyle context shot, or a colored background that pops. The goal isn't "professional" — it's "impossible to scroll past."
2. Inconsistent social media templates
If every post looks different, you don't have a brand — you have a collage. Pick 3-4 templates and rotate. Your audience should recognize you before they read your name.
3. Ignoring mobile-first design
80% of your customers are on their phone. If your text is too small, your layout too cluttered, or your CTA buried — you're leaving money on the table.
The fix for all three? Intentional design with a system behind it. That's exactly what I build for my clients at BrandGlow Studio.
