Day Master 110: Gui Water — Rain and Mist

In BaZi, Gui Water is Yin Water, the tenth and final Heavenly Stem — rain, dew, and mist: quiet moisture that seeps into everything.

Gui Water Day Masters are traditionally associated with intuition, imagination, and a subtle influence that works its way in rather than announcing itself. Less visible than the river, but it reaches places the river cannot.

Day Master 108: Xin Metal — Fine Jewelry

In BaZi, Xin Metal is Yin Metal, the eighth Heavenly Stem — worked metal: jewelry, needles, and fine instruments rather than raw ore.

Xin Metal Day Masters are traditionally associated with refinement, taste, and a sharp eye for detail and quality. Where Geng Metal is the broadsword, Xin Metal is the precision blade — subtle, polished, and exact.

Everyone was afraid of him. She learned to walk beside the tiger.

First day, bold plans — and the whole room turned to ice. An old partner stopped her at the elevator: "You stepped on the tiger's tail. It didn't bite. Not yet."

The I Ching calls this Lu — Treading. You walk behind the tiger, careful and respectful, and it doesn't bite.

Caution isn't fear. It's how the wise move among power. One careful, respectful step after another — and even the tiger lets you pass.

BaZi Basics — Reading your chart in five layers

BaZi Basics — Reading your chart in five layers

① Find your Day Master — the core character. ② Check the five-element balance around it — which elements support you, which drain you. ③ Look at the month-pillar Ten God — the relationship energy of the season you were born into. ④ See which families dominate: Wealth, Officer, Talent, Peer, Resource. ⑤ Then read the Luck Pillars — how those weights shift over time. Start free at the Day Master page below — interpretation and education, not fortune-telling.

She pushed harder. And it broke faster.

The team was small, the budget smaller, the deadline yesterday. So she forced it — and watched it crack.

Then she remembered her grandmother's garden: plant one seed, water it, and wait. "You can't pull a sprout up to make it grow. You give it water and shade, and let it choose."

The I Ching calls this Xiao Xu — Small Taming. The cloud is full, but the rain hasn't come yet. What it needs isn't force. It's tending.

Small things, faithfully tended, become the great thing.

Day Master 107: Geng Metal — the Axe

In BaZi, Geng Metal is Yang Metal, the seventh Heavenly Stem — raw ore and forged steel, the axe and sword that cut and reshape.

Geng Metal Day Masters are traditionally associated with decisiveness, courage, and a willingness to confront problems head-on. They are described as people who would rather cut through a difficulty than walk around it.
