Meet Maria
Hi, I’m Maria—a woman of faith, mother, grandmother, Registered Nurse, writer, entrepreneur, and storyteller.
My life has taken me through nursing and leadership, business and entrepreneurship, ministry, family, loss, rebuilding, and more than a few unexpected turns. Through it all, my faith has remained at the center of my journey.
Maria on the Verge was born from those real-life experiences. It’s a space where faith meets life—the beautiful parts, the difficult parts, and especially the in-between seasons when we’re still becoming.
I’m also the founder of Papa’s Purple Heart, a nonprofit created in honor of my father, a U.S. Marine and Purple Heart veteran, with a heart for serving veterans and their families.
Now, at 57, I’m telling my story through Chapter 57: My Life in Scenes—a cinematic journey through the memories and experiences that helped shape the woman I am today.
I’m still becoming, still believing, and still discovering what God can do with every chapter.
