1. I picked a skill I was decent at (not great — decent). For me it was editing short-form content.

2. I found 50 small creators on TikTok/IG who clearly needed better edits. DMed all of them.

3. Offered to do one video free. 8 said yes.

4. 3 of those 8 became paying clients within 2 weeks.

5. At $150-200 per client per month, I had my first $1K month within 6 weeks.

What most people get wrong:

• They try to build a "brand" before they have a skill

• They spend 3 months on a logo instead of 3 hours sending DMs

• They want passive income before they've earned active income

You don't need a course, a following, or startup capital. You need one marketable skill and the willingness to offer it to people who need it.

The fancy stuff (digital products, communities, automation) comes later — after you've proven you can actually deliver value.
