Why 90% of new dropshippers quit before their first sale (and how to not be one of them)

Ran a few dropshipping stores over the past couple years and the pattern is always the same: people spend 3 weeks picking a 'perfect' niche, launch a store with zero traffic plan, run $20 of ads, get no sales, and quit.

The fix isn't a better product. It's sequencing:

  1. Validate demand before building anything. Check TikTok/Amazon reviews for a product category — if people are already buying similar stuff organically, you're not guessing.

  2. Ship an ugly store in a day. Perfection is procrastination. A 3-page Shopify store with one product converts fine if the offer is right.

  3. Budget for 5 losing ad sets before you judge the product. Most people kill a winning product because they only tested one creative.

  4. Track cost-per-purchase daily, not weekly. Cutting a bleeding ad set on day 2 instead of day 7 saves your runway.

Most people don't have a dropshipping problem. They have a patience and tracking problem.

Started a small community for people actually doing this (not just watching YouTube about it) — sharing real winning products, supplier contacts, and live store reviews. $2 to get in if you want in on it.
