Getting Started: Vertex Algo Edge Indicator Quickstart Guide

Vertex Algo Edge Indicator — TradingView Pine Script Alert Setup & Webhook Tips

Use this guide to add the script, set timeframes, fire real-time alerts, and hook those alerts into a webhook. If access is delayed after purchase, message us in Whop Chat.

1. Add the script to TradingView favorites

  1. Open TradingView and sign in.

  2. Confirm you have access to Vertex Algo - Edge Indicator (invite-only script). If you do not see it yet, wait a few minutes, then ping support in Whop Chat with your TradingView username.

  3. Open Indicators → search Vertex Algo / Edge Indicator.

  4. Open the script and click the star to add it to Favorites.

  5. Apply it to your chart from Favorites so it loads on every session.

2. Set timeframe parameters

  1. Open the indicator Settings (gear).

  2. Match the chart timeframe to how you trade (common starts: 5m, 15m, 1H).

  3. Keep Inputs at the documented defaults until you understand the signals.

  4. Align timezone with your session (exchange time vs local).

  5. Save a layout so timeframe + overlay persist.

Signal interpretation (quick):

  • Follow the indicator’s plot / label as the primary trigger; do not mix extra overlays until you know the baseline.

  • Wait for candle close on your chosen timeframe before treating a print as confirmed.

  • Higher timeframes filter noise; lower timeframes fire more often and need tighter risk.

3. Configure real-time alert notifications

  1. Right-click the chart or open the Alerts panel → Create Alert.

  2. Condition: select Vertex Algo - Edge Indicator (not just price).

  3. Choose the script’s alert condition (e.g. long/short or the named plot).

  4. Trigger: Once Per Bar Close for confirmed signals; Once Per Bar only if you accept intra-bar noise.

  5. Expiration: Open-ended (or a long date) so alerts do not silently die.

  6. Notifications: enable Notify on app, Show toast, and Email if you want backup.

  7. Name the alert clearly (pair + timeframe + long/short) and Create.

Repeat for each pair/timeframe you actually trade. Disable unused alerts so you are not flooded.

4. Pine Script alert() + webhook tips

If you use a strategy/study that calls alert() or alertcondition():

  • Fire alerts on bar close unless you explicitly want intra-bar.

  • Keep the message short, stable JSON (or a fixed template). Avoid changing field names after you wire a bot.

  • Example message template (edit to match your parser):

{"ticker":"{{ticker}}","tf":"{{interval}}","action":"{{strategy.order.action}}","price":"{{close}}","time":"{{timenow}}"}

  • In the alert dialog, paste your Webhook URL.

  • TradingView sends HTTP POST. Your endpoint must accept POST, return 2xx quickly, and stay reachable.

  • Test with a paper/dummy URL first. Confirm payload, then point to production.

  • One webhook per workflow is easier to debug than many overlapping alerts.

  • If the webhook fails, TradingView still shows the in-app alert. Check both.

Do not put secrets in the alert message. Prefer a dedicated bot token on the server, not in Pine.

5. Access delayed? Use Whop Chat

  1. Open Vertex Algo in Whop → Chat / support.

  2. Send: order email, TradingView username, and which product (Edge Indicator).

  3. Do not post credentials in the public forum.

We will confirm access and get the invite-only script showing in TradingView.
