Why the KSE-100 is one of the most overlooked markets for overseas Pakistanis
Most overseas Pakistanis send money home but never invest it in Pakistan itself. That's a missed opportunity.
Here's a quick primer on why the KSE-100 deserves a spot on your radar:
1. Valuations are historically cheap. Pakistani equities have traded at a steep discount to regional peers for years, even during periods of strong earnings growth.
2. The Roshan Digital Account (RDA) makes it simple. You don't need to be physically in Pakistan. RDA lets NRPs open a brokerage and bank account remotely, in USD or PKR, and repatriate funds freely.
3. Dividend yields are strong. Several KSE-100 blue chips (banks, fertilizer, and energy names) consistently pay 8-12%+ dividend yields, on top of any capital appreciation.
4. Halal options exist. The KMI-30 index screens out interest-based and non-compliant businesses, so Shariah-conscious investors have a clean way in.
If you're an NRP in the UK, UAE, USA, Canada, or Australia and curious where to start, drop a comment. Happy to point you toward the right RDA setup guide or answer questions about specific sectors.
