The personal brand mistake I see most women make (and how to fix it)

I've worked with a lot of women building brands and agencies over the past few years, and the same mistake keeps showing up: they build an audience before they build an offer.

Here's the pattern:

  1. Post consistently, grow a following

  2. Get DMs asking "what do you do?"

  3. Scramble to package something because people are finally paying attention

  4. Underprice it because it was built in a panic, not with a plan

The fix is to flip the order. Before you post anything else this month, get clear on three things:

1. Who exactly you're for. Not "women in business" — that's not specific enough to convert. Try "women running service-based businesses under $10k/month who want to raise their prices without losing clients." Specificity is what makes someone stop scrolling and think "that's me."

2. What transformation you sell. Not a list of features — the actual before/after. People buy the after.

3. What it costs and why. Price it like you believe it. Vague or apologetic pricing ("DM me for details") signals low confidence and kills conversion before the conversation even starts.

Once those three things are locked, your content stops being "personal branding" and starts being a sales asset. Every post either builds trust toward that specific offer or it's just noise.

If you're building a brand or agency right now — what's the offer you're leading with? Curious to see what everyone's working on.
