The 45-Minute Rule: Why Busy Professionals Don't Need More Gym Time
Most fitness advice is built for people with unlimited time. 2-hour gym sessions, 6 days a week, meal prepping on Sundays like it's a full-time job.
That doesn't work for someone running a business or grinding a career.
Here's what I've learned coaching professionals who work 50-60 hour weeks:
You need exactly 3 things:
Compound movements only. Squats, deadlifts, presses, rows, pull-ups. These hit 80% of your muscle mass in 20% of the time. Skip the isolation work until you're squatting 1.5x bodyweight.
Progressive overload, tracked. If you're not adding weight or reps week over week, you're just exercising — not training. The difference between the two is a notebook.
45 minutes, 3-4x per week. That's 3 hours out of 168 in a week. If you can't find 3 hours, the problem isn't time — it's priorities.
The people who transform their bodies aren't the ones with the most time. They're the ones with the most structure.
That's exactly what we built Elite Physique around — structured programs for people who don't have time to figure it out themselves.
