Here's a quick audit checklist of five conversion leaks that quietly drain Shopify stores:

1) Header clutter and confusing navigation. Too many menu items, rotating banners, and competing CTAs make shoppers bounce before they find a product. Keep the header simple, put your best-selling collections first, and give every page one clear next step.

2) Missing product page trust signals and reviews. Thin descriptions, no social proof, and no guarantees make $50+ purchases feel risky. Add reviews, UGC, shipping/return promises, and a short “why this works” block above the fold.

3) Hidden shipping fees before checkout. Surprise shipping at the last step is one of the fastest ways to lose a cart. Show shipping ranges or free-shipping thresholds on product pages and in the cart.

4) Slow image loads on mobile. Heavy hero images and unoptimized galleries kill conversion on phones. Compress images, lazy-load below the fold, and test real mobile load time, not just desktop.

5) Checkout friction. Extra form fields, forced account creation, and unclear payment options add drop-off. Cut optional fields, enable guest checkout, and make shipping + payment feel like two short steps.
