The $0 to $10K playbook nobody talks about
Most "start a business" advice is recycled garbage. Pick a niche, build a funnel, run ads. Cool โ that'll cost you $5K before you make $1.
Here's what actually works when you're starting from zero:
1. Sell before you build. DM 50 people in your target market today. Offer to solve their problem manually. If 3+ say yes, you have a business. If none do, you saved months.
2. Revenue first, scale later. Your first $10K won't come from a polished product. It'll come from being scrappy โ direct outreach, personal relationships, and over-delivering for a handful of customers.
3. Pick a boring problem. Sexy ideas get likes on Twitter. Boring problems (bookkeeping, lead gen, content repurposing) get paid. Every. Single. Month.
4. Your "unfair advantage" is speed. Big companies move slow. You can test an idea, get feedback, and pivot in 48 hours. Use that.
