Why I started designing printable journals (and 3 prompts to try tonight)
I've been journaling for years, but most journals I found were either too rigid or too expensive for what they were. So I started designing my own.
What I learned: the best journal is one that meets you where you are. Some days you need structure. Other days you just need a blank page and a prompt.
Here are 3 prompts I come back to constantly:
1. "What am I carrying that isn't mine?"
This one cuts through the noise fast. Great for when you feel overwhelmed but can't pinpoint why.
2. "What would today look like if I gave myself permission to rest?"
Perfect for the overachievers and the moms running on empty.
3. "Name 3 things that went right today — no matter how small."
Gratitude doesn't have to be grand. A good cup of coffee counts.
I design printable wellness, gratitude, and family organization journals at CME Designs. Every journal is built around prompts like these — designed to actually feel good to use, not just look pretty on a shelf.
