If your ACOS is 'fine' and profit is not, your agency is farming wasted spend

Most 7–8 figure FBA brands don't have an ACOS problem. They have a visibility problem.

The agency sends a weekly screenshot. ACOS looks stable. Meanwhile:

  • Broad match is eating 20–40% of spend on terms that never convert

  • Exact match winners are underbid because the agency won't "touch what's working"

  • Auto campaigns are still on because "they find new keywords"

None of that shows up in a pretty ACOS number.

Here's the 20-minute audit I run on every account before changing a single bid:

  1. Last 30 days. Sort search terms by spend, not ACOS.

  2. Anything with spend and zero orders — pause it. Don't harvest it. Don't "give it more time."

  3. Anything with orders and ACOS above your break-even — cut the bid 20%, don't pause.

  4. Anything converting below break-even — raise the bid until you hit impression share, then stop.

Agencies hate this because it shrinks the budget they bill against.

If you already know which terms print money, you don't need an agency. You need bid control and a weekly wasted-spend pass. That's the whole product.
