The 3 accounts that changed how I manage money (and how I built them in Notion)
Most people track their spending wrong. They open a spreadsheet, list expenses for 2 weeks, then never touch it again.
The problem isn't discipline — it's the system. Here's what actually works:
1. The "Money In / Money Out" Dashboard
Instead of tracking every coffee, I built a Notion dashboard that shows net cash flow by category. Takes 30 seconds to update daily. You see the big picture without the micromanagement.
2. The Savings Goal Tracker
Visual progress bars for each goal — emergency fund, vacation, investments. When you can see the bar filling up, you actually want to keep going. Psychology > willpower.
3. The Debt Payoff Planner
If you have student loans or credit card debt, this one's non-negotiable. It auto-calculates the snowball vs. avalanche method so you can pick the strategy that fits your situation.
I packaged all three (plus a few more) into a template pack. If you're 18-25 and trying to get your finances together without a finance degree, this is the system I wish I had.
