Why most fitness challenge launches flop (and it's not the offer)
Most coaches blame the offer when a challenge launch flops. It's rarely the offer.
After building funnels for dozens of fitness challenges, here's what actually kills launches:
1. Landing page CTA overload
One page, five different buttons ("Join Now", "Learn More", "DM Me", "Free Guide", "Book a Call"). Confused visitors don't convert. One page, one CTA, every time.
2. No onboarding sequence after signup
People pay and then... silence until day 1 of the challenge. That gap is where refund requests and no-shows come from. You need a 3-5 message sequence between signup and kickoff that builds anticipation.
3. Affiliates get a link and nothing else
"Here's your link, go promote it!" isn't a strategy — it's a hope. Affiliates need swipe copy, graphics, and a tracking link they can drop into a story in 30 seconds. Give them zero-effort promo kits and they'll actually post.
4. No mid-challenge re-engagement
Day 1 energy is easy. Day 10 is where people quit and stop opening your emails. Build check-in touchpoints and momentum content into the middle of the challenge, not just the start.
Fix these four things and the "offer problem" usually disappears.
