The 3 exercises 90% of people do wrong (and how to fix them)

Most people think they know how to squat, deadlift, and bench. But after coaching hundreds of people, I can tell you — almost everyone has at least one of these wrong.

Squats: If your heels come up, you're loading your knees instead of your glutes. Fix: elevate your heels on small plates until your ankle mobility improves. Sit back, not down.

Deadlifts: Rounding your lower back isn't "just how you lift heavy." It's a herniated disc waiting to happen. Fix: film yourself from the side. If your lower back rounds before the bar leaves the floor, the weight is too heavy. Drop it 20% and nail the form.

Bench Press: Flaring your elbows at 90° is shoulder impingement on a timer. Fix: tuck your elbows to 45°, retract your shoulder blades, and arch slightly. You'll lift more and hurt less.

Master these three and you'll outperform 90% of gym-goers within 6 months.

I break all of this down in detail inside Elite Fitness Academy — structured programs, form guides, and a community of people actually putting in the work.
