The only 3 exercises beginners actually need
Most beginners walk into the gym and do the same thing: random machines, 3 sets of 10, leave confused.
Here's what actually works when you're starting out:
1. Squat (any variation)
Goblet squat, bodyweight squat, doesn't matter. This one movement trains your entire lower body and core. Do it 2-3x per week.
2. Push-up progression
Can't do a full push-up? Start on your knees or against a wall. Work up to 3x10 full push-ups. This builds your chest, shoulders, and arms.
3. Dumbbell row
Grab a dumbbell, find a bench, row it. One set per arm. This balances out all that pushing and saves your posture from desk life.
That's it. Three movements. 30 minutes. 3x per week.
The secret isn't finding the "perfect" routine. It's doing something simple consistently until it becomes a habit. Everything else is noise.
I built FitVault for people who feel lost in the gym. Structured programs, community support, zero judgment.
