I spent the last few months talking to local florists about why they still don't sell online.
It's never demand — Valentine's, Mother's Day, and "sorry" bouquets aren't going anywhere. It's always the same three blockers:
Building a website costs $2-5k and most florists don't have time to maintain it.
The big delivery apps (you know the ones) take 25-30% commission on every order — on a $60 bouquet that's real money gone.
There's no way for a customer searching "florist near me" to actually tell if a shop does same-day delivery, what their radius is, or see real arrangement photos before ordering.
So I built FloristHub — a marketplace where local florists get a storefront (no code, no design work), list their delivery radius and hours, and take orders directly. Flat $29/month, no per-order cut. The florist keeps what they earn on every bouquet.
If you're a florist or you know one drowning in DoorDash/1-800-Flowers commission fees, this is worth 5 minutes to set up.
