The 25-5 Rule: How I Went From Failing to Dean's List
Most students study wrong. They sit down for 3 hours with their phone next to them, retention at 20%, anxiety at 100%.
Here's what actually works — the 25-5 Rule:
25 minutes of deep focus. Phone in another room. One subject. No multitasking. Your brain physically cannot focus on two things at once — stop pretending it can.
5 minutes of active reset. Not scrolling. Walk, stretch, do 10 deep breaths, or journal one sentence about what you just learned. This moves info from short-term to long-term memory.
Repeat 3-4 times. That's 2 hours of actual studying. More effective than 6 hours of "studying" with Netflix in the background.
The secret isn't studying more — it's studying with intention.
I built FocusFlow because I watched too many smart students burn out using broken methods. We combine AI study scheduling, distraction blocking, and guided mental resets into one tool.
If you're a student who's tired of feeling overwhelmed, this is for you.
