The Knot Book is a short zine from Marginalia, published by Foolscap. Most people finish it in an evening.

It will not teach you to weave. There are manuals for that, and you would have opened one. It will tell you why you have been watching other people work, and what changes if you spend one evening on your own.

In 1801, in Lyon, Jacquard used punched cards to lift threads. The machine remembered the dull part. The weaver kept the skill. We later gave the machine the skill and kept the feed. This book is about reversing that, on a table, with yarn.
