You are in. Here is the starter kit I actually use when I need local business leads without a team.

Copy these 5 prompts into ChatGPT, Claude, or whatever you run. Fill the brackets. Run them. You should walk away with a list you can contact this week.

1. Map the neighborhood

Find 40 local businesses in [CITY] that sell [OFFER TYPE, e.g. roofing / dental / gyms]. Prefer companies with 4.0 stars or lower, fewer than 80 Google reviews, and a website that looks outdated. For each, give: business name, niche, Google rating, review count, website URL if you can find it, and one sentence on why they likely need more leads.

2. Pull the decision maker

For these businesses: [PASTE 5 NAMES]. Guess the owner or GM name, a likely email pattern, LinkedIn search query, and one line I can use as a cold opener that mentions a specific local problem.

3. Write the first message

Write 3 short outreach messages for [BUSINESS NAME], a [NICHE] in [CITY]. One SMS under 160 characters, one email under 90 words, one DM. No fluff. Offer a free 15-minute audit of their lead flow. Include a P.S. that asks one qualifying question.

4. Find the offer they will buy

I sell [YOUR OFFER]. For [NICHE] owners in [CITY], list 8 pain points they feel this month, 5 offers they would pay for this week, and a one-sentence positioning line I can put in ads and DMs.

5. Build a 7-day hunt list

Build a 7-day lead hunt plan for [CITY] + [NICHE]. Each day: where to look (Google Maps, Facebook groups, job boards, review sites), how many businesses to pull, and the exact filter to use. End with a simple CRM sheet layout: name, contact, source, last touch, next step.

How to use this today:

1. Pick one city and one niche.

2. Run prompt 1, then 2 on the top 10.

3. Send prompt 3 to five of them before you close the laptop.

4. Track replies. Double down on the niche that answers.
