Hey ADHD Second Public Commu fam! 👋

Hey ADHD Second Public Commu fam! 👋

We’ve just taken a quick look at PostGenie over at and wanted to kick off a conversation about how tools like this can fit into our daily workflows—especially when managing ADHD‑related challenges like task initiation, focus swings, and content overwhelm.

What we’re curious about:

  • 🎯 Use case: Have any of you tried using PostGenie to draft forum posts, newsletters, or social‑media updates? What type of content did you generate first?

  • Time‑saver: Did it noticeably cut down the time you spend staring at a blank screen? Roughly how many minutes (or hours) did you save on a typical task?

  • 🛠️ Tweaks & tips: Any favorite prompts or settings that helped you get the output closer to your voice? Feel free to share screenshots or copy‑paste examples (no personal data, please).

  • 🚦 Roadblocks: Did you run into any hiccups—like overly generic suggestions, formatting issues, or difficulty guiding the AI toward ADHD‑friendly, concise language?

  • 💡 Idea swap: If you could add one feature to PostGenie to better support neurodivergent creators, what would it be?

We’d love to hear your real‑world experiences, shortcuts, and even the “what not to do” moments. Drop your thoughts below, upvote the tips that resonate, and let’s build a shared playbook for making content creation smoother (and a little less draining) for all of us.

Looking forward to the discussion! 🌟

Conquer ADHD School Notification Overwhelm

Hey ADHD Parents! 👋

Let’s be honest for a second. Is there anything more anxiety-inducing than hearing your phone ping at 2:00 PM, only to find three different notifications from ClassDojo, an email from the PTA, and a text in the soccer group chat about a "dress-up day" tomorrow that you have zero supplies for?

When you have ADHD (or you’re parenting kids who do), managing the sheer volume of school communication feels like a second full-time job.

To help you reclaim your peace of mind, here is the exact 3-Step School Notification Triage Blueprint we use to shut down the overwhelm:

📥 Step 1: The "One-Screen" Rule

Stop checking school apps throughout the day. Turn off lock-screen notifications for ClassDojo, Canvas, and school emails. Instead, move all of these app icons into a single folder on your phone named "School Triage." You only open this folder at a designated time.

Step 2: The 4:00 PM Daily Sweep

Set an alarm on your phone for 4:00 PM (or whenever works best post-school). Give yourself exactly 10 minutes to open your "School Triage" folder.

📋 Step 3: Do, Date, or Delete

As you open each message, you are only allowed to do one of three things:

  • Do: If it takes under 2 minutes (e.g., signing a digital permission slip), do it immediately.

  • Date: If it’s an event (spirit week, picture day, half-day), put it on your family calendar with an alert set for 2 days prior.

  • Delete/Archive: Once the info is on the calendar, archive the message. Keep that inbox clean!

By treating school messages like a structured 10-minute task rather than an all-day emergency, you protect your dopamine and your sanity.
